Working smarter with a combination of automation, digitalization and maintenance, with a higher availability in the production processes, will also prevent the flow of production to low cost countries.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Maintenance is however not adequately emphasized in the academic world and this is one of the most important issues for the EFNMS.&nbsp;From the industrial side the formal training and learning is also of importance.&nbsp;In order to unite the member countries within the EFNMS it has been crucial to carry out this project transnationally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The guidelines from the European Centre for the Development of Vocational Training, CEDEFOP, focuses on the validation of non-formal and informal learning. The total lifelong learning results are of the highest interest for development of an organization.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The development has resulted in<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\" type=\"1\"><li>Four qualifications for Maintenance Managers, Maintenance Engineers and Maintenance Technicians as well as for Maintenance Electricians, Maintenance Mechanics and Automation Electricians.<\/li><li>Created a comprehensive database of validation questions using the system base language English. Some parts for technicians are available in ten languages.<\/li><li>Created a system for easy translation into local language<\/li><li>Initiated a complete way of working for all 23 EFNMS Member States<\/li><li>Presented the sources of knowledge issues in a list<\/li><\/ol>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>European industry needs to work smarter to&nbsp;increase profitability and&nbsp;competitiveness.
